I know the beeb deny it but their commentaries are definitely added in afterwards.
On the rags game v Leicester at 2-2 the commentator says "well anything can happen now - and it has happemed.... Jamie Vardy...."
And the Everton / West Ham game, West Ham were given a corner that Pickford thought should have been a foul on him.
Commentator at the corner
"It's decisions like this that often bring a change.in the game....and it has.... West Ham score...."
Definitely scripted and voiced over later because they are never heard saying comments like that when nothing ever comes from it
TBF, the BBC are in the entertainment business (really) so want to improve the viewer experience. It does sometimes make the commentators sound more prescient than they are though.

I don't think many are. You can tell by the lack of crowd noise it's being recorded in a TV studio.Sometimes I doubt they are even in the ground for the highlighted games
There used to be a blue on here who worked as the English speaking commentator for a foreign TV company. I vaguely remember him posting a pic in studio.
