Why Auntie Beeb loves that scummy lot so much I don't understand. That article Rooney wrote about "preserving" their legacy of being the only treble winners and preventing us from doing it in the cup final is also just as bad.

What about Barcelona, Inter and Bayern since then?!. Getting 100 points is a lot more rare in a top 5 euro league!.
And the fact we already won the treble the other year, 4 if you include the charity shield i believe, and this never gets mentioned in the media so they are not the only treble winners, they just won different competitions with far less strong competition against them and domestic officials in their pocket

Indeed, especially with a tiring Arsenal defence who were the oldest in the league based on average age, which shown with their half arsed attempts to stop Giggs from that topless celebration we never stop being forced to see in montages.... Real nowhere as dominant like they are today and Barca being a regular group stage casualty.

Dynamo Kyiv made the semis that year, because of Shevkenko and a weaker competition than today's CL.

They also lost 3-2 to Sheffield Wednesday that season and got 79 points, which today would get you third. Nowhere as good as the media pretend. Whoever decided that the Arsenal Invincibles got the award for Best Team at the 25 seasons awards, made the right decision.... Then we came along with our Centurions.

Also, it's all about the present and not the then, always harping on about past glories. Okay, it's great to have memories and that is amazing and so important, I would never do anything to have the tears of 2012 wiped from my memory, but right now Man United are the holders of a trophy not on the same level as the one we are currently holding.

We are the current holders of the biggest trophy in the country right now and that's the main thing, not banging on and on about 1999 again and again.

Rangers have won two out of the last 20 odd trophy’s, but their fans in the press never shut up about how they are coming back, a revolution, the real rangers etc. I just laugh.

Been thinking about Bayern never getting a 100 points winning season and thats because only 34 games are played when the other Top 5 Euro Leagues all play 38.

So, based on average points per game and then divided by 38 to get the 20 team table format projection, Bayern have two seasons on 100 or more points with one on 100 when they won the treble in 2013 and the one before or after on 101.

Therefore, with this handicap applied, I can only think of Bayern, Real and us who have had a 100 point plus winning season in Europe's top 5 leagues.

EDIT: So did Barca and there are only four on actual points rather than 38 games equivalent points in the Bundesliga taken into account. You need to win all 34 or win 33 and draw one in that league to get 100 or more.

Great ending to the show.
The Manchester String Quartet playing Love will tear us apart to clips of highlights of the season and ending up with Blues singing "tearing cockneys apart aagain....

I record it and it cut off just as they were starting. Keep meaning to go into iPlayer and fast forward to the end but not got round to it yet.
