match of the day

Hansen talking sense for a change...

Crouch - hand ball
Garcia - excellent
Wilkinson - should have had a red card
City - the better team
Toure - should start in attacking position, not holding.

He glossed over the violent elbow with a casual, and i quote "probably should have been a red". He followed with play Barry in holding to be able to push Yaya forward.

How the fook can we play Barry when he has been injured for 3 months?.

Total bollocks as usual from the BBC.

When only 2 teams in the top half last year walked away from there with more than a point, it's safe to assume it's a hard place to go.

I have to laugh at all these pundits now trying to tell Mancini how to use Yaya. He was already playing him in an attacking position two seasons ago when they were busy going on about three defensive midfielders being played by the negative Italian!

http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/united-condemn-hillsborough-chants-201529362.html

The article is about the official (decent) response, not the chant. Compare/ contrast what you recall of the press reaction to 'who put the ball in the Munich's net' chant, 18 months or whatever, ago. Both are the product of the respective dullard twat fan contingents, don't get me wrong, but note the contrast in reaction. City condemned the City fans, too. Different, no? Given the freshness of news with regard to the specific tragedies under reference, one looks a slightly worse infringement of common morality than the other.

Does the press reaction reflect that? No...?

Just saying. Sorry, gone off topic. Carry on.

That's so true.

Hansen surprisingly correct in everything he said, I even agree with him commenting about how we should be disappointed with a point as we should of won - quite right in my opinion, we were by far the dominant side, Crouch's goal should not of stood and they should have had 10 men for that elbow on Mario.

I suppose you cannot win every game, we drew there last year with a much less convincing performance an we still won the league. We are quite clearly their biggest game of the season anyway, let's move on.

From TV, you tend get the impression, that unless they're playing each other, Barca and Madrid fans like most supporters actually appreciate quality when they see it (regardless of whether it comes from them or the opposition). Stoke are unlike any other team that I've seen at the top level of football anywhere.

From the players and coaching staff, groundsmen, right through to the fans, they just seem to be content in scoring once and then doing whatever it takes (more often than not brutally) to shut the game down from there on in. Stoke haven't won a game by more than 1 goal in their last 18 matches Pulis constantly has a massive chip on his shoulder about everything.

Fair play to the fans if they're happy paying to watch that kind of football week in, week out, but I remember vividly losing games 4-0 and 5-1 to Arsenal in the last 2 prem seasons at Maine Road, and still walking away feeling like my ST was value for money because of quality of football I had witnessed.

Crikey ......

anyone see that goal of Bellamys for Cardiff on the 'football league show' ??

what a strike ...

NO i dont agree with hansen. The man clearly dislikes city coz we have taken over is beloved liverpool
