Might not be true figure of course.He must have a bloody good agent.
How does the BBC come out with that figure? What other channels were in for him and how much were they prepared to pay him? I bet it was nowhere near that amount.
Full time presenters working at the BBC get nowhere near £800 K

Nor mine. MotD is a relic from the past, when it was a football show for football fans. It hasn't been that for a long time. Just seeing the goals on YT is enough for me: I don't want or need ex-pro's telling me what I've seen and using a load of computerised graphics to go through the process.Thankfully it isn’t mine!
But for me it started going downhill when they started using those screeching harridans like Jacqui Oatley and the like. Jonathan Pearce is another, over-excited and can't keep their mouths shut for more than 20 seconds or so.
The sooner the programme is filed under H for history the better.

Haven't watched it in years. Sky has 3 or 4 minute long highlights packages on YT within an hour or so of the final whistle, with no inane guff.

I like MOTD but please get rid of Rooney. I needed the subtitles switched on.
Why couldn’t they use Nedum, Joe or even Micah rather than him?

I'm big fan of MoTD. Have watched since I was a kid. Used to get home from the pub on a Saturday in time for it. Sky is awful.Yes but some of us won’t or can’t pay for SKY!!

I was the same. Couldn't be arsed with all this technology stuff. But my family persevered and now that's what I do, wait for an hour or whatever after the final whistle and there's the goals on You Tube. There are some really interesting YouTube channels you should watch…….i found one the other day on covered bridges in Vermont……. The presenter I’m sure you will see as eye candy, way much more attractive than Rooney!Aha I’ll look at it but I’m not really a YouTube person. I like my highlights on the TV. Thanks for the tip. :-)

And straight off after the game.

Not certain but think I might have read once that they can’t show more than 12 minutes of any game. And I think there might be even more restrictive terms for games that were shown live on other channels.
I like it better now Lineker has gone -cos the vibe with him and Shearer etc had got really stale. Also if they stick a few fresh Pundits in -Joe Hart was excellent Sunday night -and who knows RugHead may turn out OK (tho I seriously doubt it)
