Looks like we’re going to be last as now it’s Forest v Sunderland! There can’t be many games left! Thank goodness I’ve got the latest Richard Osman Thursday Murder club book to read whilst I’m waiting! Good job I can multitask. ;-) :-)
 
They put the games on first that are considered to be 'shocks' . I guess City were expected to win v Burnley.
Ms, Kates is confident, can engage with the summarisers, and dare I say it, easy on the eye, at least IMO! The Rooney contract is a staggering waste of licence payers money, He sounds nervous, unconfident and struggles to string two or three sentences together.
 
Short n uninformative as ever. But at least young Jeremy got deserved praise. Can't help but think format of motd is old n tired, pundits have no more knowledge than someone in the pub, who probably knows lotg better!!!!!

Then put Ms Cates on the women’s football! The women would have something to say if they just had men on their Women’s football show!
We could have Jason whatsit on doing the Lineker role. He is excellent. (Might be easy on the eye to some ladies but I watch it for the football and some intelligent summaries not whether they are good looking or not!)


I don’t think that can be classed as sexist as I’m a woman and it annoys me. If it is considered sexist by anyone I apologise wholeheartedly but it is just my humble opinion.

Trouble is Eccles, that the ladies generally speak better and have a deeper understanding of the game. Re non playing presenters, Mark Chapman is very good, the two women, not so much.

I am biased but Stef Haughton and Izzy Christiansen are great analysts, in much the same way the micha comedy glasses Richards isn't!

I’d give her a bit of time to bed in. She’s a seasoned presenter, but MOTD is an institution.

The mantra should be to employ the best people for the job, regardless of anything else.

Chapman is a decent choice as is Gabby Yorath. They all need to learn the ropes though.

Whatever you think of Lineker as a person, he was always going to be a hard act to follow. They just need to relax more and be more natural.

Now you’ve got me!! Hoist with my own petard as they say because the two ladies you mention especially Steph Houghton are very good I hold my hands up.

Oh heck I should keep my big mouth shut (or my typing fingers on my lap)!

It’s just that Rooney mumbles, I feel there are too many women but take your point. The only real pundits to me are Nedum Onuha, Joe Hart and Shay Given who are all ex -City. Yes I like Mark Chapman so let’s have him as the Main presenter. I was getting him mixed up with Jason whatsit!!!

Oh I’m going to bed before I dig a bigger hole for myself!!!! :-) ;-)
