People getting on Gundogan's back, yet he's been far more involved than Bernardo for me. Wasted a great counter opportunity with a poor pass, but at least showing for it. Sometimes doing nothing seems to get you a free pass.

He is also taking Bernardo's space & on numerous occasions passing backwards when in space or wasting good positions as well as being the least active runner when we lose the ball.

He needs to be much better.

Bernardo has been up front pressing half the time as well.

I won’t be slagging you off, because that’s exactly the problem. Our midfield is non existant.
Not to jump on him more, but a lot of that is Ilkay not playing well. He is supposed to be playing a modified version of David or Kevin’s role and it really is not working out for him.

This is leaving Fernandinho, Bernardo, Eric, and John with the responsibility to constantly recognise and plug those holes, in turn creating more space for Arsenal if they see it.

Think Mahrez has been good, always got them retreating towards the penalty area, Sterling too.

Would like to see Bernardo get a little close to Mahrez and Walker and create some triangles.

Fernandinho is a one-man team. Incredible.

yup...which is why we needed cover for him..

Sterling has carried on if not improved his form from last year, aguero looks sharp and we have stones back to his best and looks solid along with Laporte. Dinho never misses a beat. Lots of positives with so little pre season.

a fair summary, this game and the next couple will be pre-season for a few players

I fear that Raheem may attract a second yellow card so he may need to be taken off before the end. Sane has a great record against the Gooners I believe.

Neither of them are playing well, it’s not just gundogan.
