imagine playing for a madrid must be really tiring .

They pack so many men into their own box. A shot from outside the box from us would have to be lucky not to hit one of them, but then a deflection could work in our favour.
I know we always come up against packed defences, but they seem to do it particularly well.

Nil nil. Typical game against Atletico. Physical, a bit of diving from them. Them defending and hoping to catch us on the break. Not really the side you would want to play in a friendly. Not really an exhibition game. A few loose passes from us. The odd shot. Final ball not good. Rodri and Bernardo playing well. Come on you blues, just get the ball through to Haaland.

A lively contest. We looked the more threatening without really testing their keeper but Atleti had the better chances.

Agree. Our play has been good at times without really opening them up. Foden looks set in the middle. They have tried to contain us but have had the best chances….

Been a decent pre season up to now.

Atléti have played plenty of good, neat football. Impressed by the way they play themselves out of tight situations. But by God I hate the snidey way they appeal for pushes that did not exist, and the way they constantly dish it out just on the right side of a card. They can play football, no question, but really they're straight out of the Mordor training ground as far as dark arts are concerned.
In a general sense, though, this is a good, testing match to have as a friendly. Atléti want our scalp, even if it's a friendly.
