Mendy isn't the real deal at all.
He hasn't got much pace and offers little at times.
Defensively hes a liability.

Not at defending he hasn't. His positioning is awful.

A few minutes ago he went walkabout again and a pass was played into the space behind him which Fernandinho had to come across and block. It reminds me of the bad old days when Kolarov used to go missing. Otamendi used to get the abuse but in truth he was left completely exposed by Kolarov time and time again. It’s the risk we take when we push up so high.
