I think it's Manuel's way of saying to the board, we haven't got a real
quality centre half after Kompany and Nastasic, by playing Boyata.

Do you not think he would just mention it to them face to face or by phone at worst.

Or and it is a big OR he may just see something in Boyata during training that suggests all is not all lost, his talent can't have all leaked out of his boots.

Of course this is positive thinking and Sam Caddick will have exploded at the mere thought of supporting your team and the players in the shirt.

Won't Boyata have to be in our CL squad as he's one of very few overage players to have been developed at City? Regardless, big chance for him to show himself as a contender tonight, or of course to show he's pretty worthless.

Overall, I think last night's line-up was stronger and Bayern look extremely menacing. Hope Pellegrini studied Dortmund's performance against them in the German Super Cup - they aren't unbeatable.

Our second half team will arguably be better than this first half team with Yaya, Silva, Navas, Dzeko and Sergio to come in.
