The one thing Zinc gives us is he can hit the ball with his left foot so can get crosses in without the need to check back to get the ball onto the right foot. My concern with the way he’s playing is he getting far up the field and leaving us exposed to the counter.I thought Zinko was the right choice, but the space he's getting up front I think Cancelo would be more productive.
I would hate to be one of our wide men against tactically astute teams late in this competition. Look how much time Dortmund give Walker and Zin - they know they can’t hurt them, so they let them have the ball and take care of the players that can hurt them. It makes life tough for Mahrez and Foden.Wank is harsh, hasn't done much of note admittedly but most of our play has been down the left. Around him, Walkers got defensive duties, Bernardo is trying to cover Rodri's immobility in the middle and kdb who is usually out there is upfront, there's nobody for him to link with out there. Was very unlucky not to score, deserves longer to produce something.
They are walking around Rodri, who is getting caught with triangles, not helped my Bernardo seemingly not knowing where he is playing.
Zin is having a mare, and using both our full backs as the actual delivery supply is helping Dortmund defend the sides.
It might be false nine but it is very orthodox in the areas of concern, only De Bruyne and Gundo are showing any desire to force the issue.
Not a clue how long we leave this, but Jesus and Sterling at some stage?
We can't wait on a moment of brilliance from Mahrez. We need more movement and endeavour. Only Raz or possibly Jesus fit that roll right now. With the way Raz has been playing?
But it was the same story on Saturday: didn't play badly but didn't take chances.Don’t think we’ve played that badly tbh, just need to take one of these chances. Dortmund are defending well but will hopefully tire in the second half.
A lot of it is down to belief, fall behind don’t believe we can turn it around..In normal circumstances I’d take our position over theirs all day long.
45 minutes is a long time in football and if we score, it changes the complexion of everything.
That said, our record of coming from being is nothing short or appalling. I can see a similar outcome to the Leeds match at the weekend.
