Actually it does.

It means that on top of having an absolutely excellent game outside the box, pressing and linking up, dribbling past people, creating chances, winning the ball back and generally being integral to our play, he now has the goal that makes it a complete performance.

And more than that, a kid who is clearly having a massive crisis of confidence in front of goal didn't drop his head like he sometimes does, he got back up and immediately got himself in the box, stayed alive and got the poachers goal that pretty much kills the tie.
