Ortega should be saving that shot all day but he looks much more assured than steffen.

Lewis looks like a kid. And I'm not having a go, that's precisely what he is, he's nowhere near breaking through and we shouldn't be expecting it, it's only because we don't have senior fullbacks he's being thrust into the first team more.
Talents there though.

Gomez not really been involved, peps spent the entire half coaching him, this game will do him good, seems to be doing what's asked.

Phillips looks completely lost, it's a friendly but the positioning is the key thing, it shows an understanding of what Pep wants and Phillips rarely seems to be where he should be. I said I felt it was going to take ages with Phillips because of Bielsa ball being ingrained into him. Pray we don't need him for the first half of the season because he's not ready.

Palmer looks like he belongs, not in that position though, he needs more legs and intensity to play as an 8, like to see him on the wing where he's much more likely to get games for us.

Alvarez looked busy, not jesus levels of pressing but impressive nonetheless. can't expect any more from a forward in games like this.

No injuries and a run out for Mbete and Wilson-Esbrand second half and it's a worthwhile night.

Palmer should get full 90. Injuries last season that had him play sporadically. Didn’t play with England youth team in the summer. Not that much game time in preseason. This game will do him some good
