We're making chances because we have some incredibly talented footballers out there. What we're not doing is utilising them as an effective team. Bizzare because I thought given Pellegrini's efforts at his other clubs that is exactly what we would be getting, and yet we look as far away from it as ever.

As a quick question, what are your honest thoughts on Sterling so far? Forget Otamendi, he'll probably bed in and be the next Kompany (potentially) - but Sterling looks like a slightly sharper Navas so far.

For me we are great going forward, but a calamity at the back.

Demi was great last season, but looks his age so far this season. Otamendi has just joined us, but he needs to stop doing the Phil Jones impersonation and stop going to ground for almost every tackle.

However, our biggest weakness is Yaya. He simply hasn't the legs to defend at this level. I would be bringing on Fernando for Yaya in the 2nd half.

Also I would bring on Zabba for Demi and move Sagna to centre half.

An exciting first half but this level of excitement is not good for the health. Thankfully Hart has been fantastic and has done a great job. The monchengladbach players are very dangerous on the break, change of pace, acceleration and a lot of movement and our backline have struggled to cope with Yaya and Fernandinho being caught more than often in front of the ball. So it was a straight up end to end shoot out and it is still nil-nil surprisingly enough.

The chances we have created have gone to Aguero but he is still looking for that illusive goal to get things going. Other players like Sterling, Silva, De bruyne and Yaya may need to get the goal. Concerning the front four, they looked dangerous on the break: Sterling put in a fantastic ball to Aguero earlier and it has been lively but not efficient. Not sure if changes will be made for the second half e.g putting another midfielder or Pellegrini might just continue to gamble and hope that our superior quality overcomes that of the opponent.

The key is that we don't get beat but hopefully we will find that goal and get the much important win.

Kolarov, Otamendi and Demichelis with Yaya in front of them is just a fucking disaster. Sagna might as well go play leftback as there is no way they are going to bother going down his side when the left and the middle are wide fucking open

Could use Navas too.

Fernando for Yaya please.

Always say it's not about how you play, it's about getting the 3 points... But I'm not sure I can watch much more of us defending like this even if we do get 3 points.
