Their last game was on May 9th vs Fulham. We played that day as well and twice more since, including a Cup Final. That's why we look slow and laboured compared to them.
That's part of the reason we look slow and labored by comparison.

But we're also slower, less athletic and intentionally play more deliberately. It's not going to be better next year without Pep, but I am encouraged that we might see a midfield that's not as old, slow and unathletic as those we've fielded the last 2.5 years.
 
I wanted the subs but 3 at once often kills momentum.

Poor that from Nico loses the ball cheaply and within seconds they nearly score been a theme from a few tonight. What the heck is going on with Rodri I've never seen him look so bad.

I really don't think we've been consistent enough to win the league but from tonight it is clear we need a revamp of our central midfield next year and we still need a dynamic fullback. Must say Truefert looks ideal for what we need Pace and overlapping - not seen much of him.
