The protection of players was supposed to promote attacking football. We now have full backs that do 3 rollovers every time they get the ball. It was miles better in the 90s, you had a good mix of quality players and players that took no prisoners.

Bernardo had a couple of decent performances in big games which have distorted the fact he has been utter wank for 2 years.

The least effective player on the pitch every week, I don't care if he pops up in 8 different positions over the 90 minutes.

He's just shite in attacking areas, if we're ahead we need him in midfield because of his bite and stamina, but if we're chasing games there's no point.
