Perhaps I am being harsh, but based on his recent performance, it seems like Palmer is often just a half step behind in his thinking compared to the rest of our team and the opposition, delaying his decision, which misses the window of opportunity for passes/shots and allows opposing players to dispossess him.

Then again, he hasn’t exactly had a long run in the side, and he is probably trying to avoid making mistakes more than play with freedom, as a young player tends to do when first getting his real chance.
