Just said the same, thank goodness for big Erl as nobody else is contributing to the goals scored column.
 
Need to start making our domination pay dividends if we want to seriously challenge for the title. This first half dominance should really have been turned into a 3-0 lead.
 
Excellent 1st half barring the injury for Rodders. Best we’ve played all season. I think we all know what’s coming next!
 
All Neville (the ****) can do is criticise Brentford and compare how they’ve played to how they played against the rags. Couldn’t possibly be that we’ve not allowed them to play, could it.

Doku looked goosed last time out, we need to be able to rotate him, shame it’s Savinho and not Marmoush though.

If I do remember correctly, Doku has struggled with muscle injuries and Peps mentioned his inability to play 3 times a week in the past.
 
Just worrying that we are so poor at putting our chances away. It’s a recurring theme.
Monaco in the week we went into half time with just a 1 goal lead after having 10 shots to 1. And collapsed 2nd half.
Today again we go in with a slender lead after dominating and having 9 shots to 1.
Take Haaland out of the team and we have zero natural finishers. Phil sometimes steps up but oh for the love of god for a Semenyo, Eze, Sarr type who know where the goal is on the wings.
 
Great half but there is zero chance of Brentford being that passive for the second 45 mins. Unless we get an early second that is, so if we get an early second I see the game being played out in similar fashion. If they sense any opportunity the games flow could change in an instant. Hopefully it’s the former.

Savinho has played the vast majority of games for us on the right. We already know he's not good enough there!!
 
Wingers haven't really been involved so far. Option there to change the tactics and get the ball out wide to stretch the game as brentford begin to chase it
 
Had we got a second, I'd say a near perfect 1st half away performance. But without it, 1 slice of misfortune could eradicate the entire halves work. Foden had to score his big chance, even had time to put it on his left. Reijnders chance was a decent effort. Got to find haaland more, we've given him nothing since his goal everything is safe and infront of 2 banks. They'll get chances second half, we need to come out and put ourselves in clear air before that happens which means playing to score not to keep ball and tire them out.
