Brighton are the best team in the PL we have faced this season, IMO.

Yep, that's definitely why. Miss a CL final because you pulled a muscle or hammy in a meaningless game 2 weeks before. You would never forgive yourself.

This is the perfect game to show why our midfield needs reinforcement.The trio out there tonight are getting annihilated by power,mobility,and pace.
A Rice or Belligham offers us that missing energy.

On a plus,Foden has been great.

I'd be very tempted to bring on Charles .

Not overly bothered as only the 2 cup finals matter now. Rodri not in midfield leaves a huge gap though. And Rico great technically but constantly out of position.

Really good side Brighton, especially at home. Their best 11 would do well against our best side. No complaints so far, been an exciting and evenly matched game.

Well that wasn’t pretty.

The midfield trio have been as bad as I have seen. I’ve watched us before and thought that Rodri was playing the middle on his own, but tonight with him at CB we’ve seemingly decided to play without a midfield.

Defensively we look all over the show.

Only Haaland (missed a couple of sitters but a threat) and Foden have been any good. The rest of them look like they’d rather have gone to Brighton beach instead.
