The difference between every other keeper and Ederson is the trajectory he puts on the ball.

People can bring down Ederson's balls because he hits it so flat, it's both easier to control and it gets to the forward much quicker before the defender can come over.

Sterling has to be taking a touch there to the right to open the angle before shooting. It would have also given him the possibility to reverse it bottom left.
