Not looking at a potential offside before the corner was given that led to the goal?

Of course not.
VAR doesn't look at stuff like that and never has. If the offside was in the build up to the goal VAR would have intervened. Once the ball goes for a corner it's a different phase of play.

Lewis is good at being a scapegoat as a young player being played out of position due to injuries.

It’s probably best if the fans get on his back and destroy him.
Sadly we've always had more than our fair share of fans that seem to almost demand a scapegoat to make them happy.

Richard Edgehill for example, wasn't the greatest, but tried, he was destroyed by the boo boys, I don't get it, whilst they play for my club and try, I'll support them.

It's both terrifying and baffling.

No mystery, mate. We have been utterly decimated by injuries. Our recognised four centre-halves are Días, Stones, Akanji, Aké. Of those four, one is now semi-permanently crocked (let's face up to it), and the two others, having played well against Forest, are out… again. They had both already been out for injury. Our world-recognised defensive midfielder is out for the season, and the man who was supposed to provide some cover for him, Kovacic, is out for a big chunk of time at a key juncture in the season. Others therefore are being played into the ground. Nah, sorry, the season's a write-off. We can score, but we can't stop the opposition from scoring. Usually more, in recent times. Clean sheets have become as rare as hen's teeth.
