Just a note to let users know that we will be clamping down on some of the bile that sometimes gets spouted in these threads.

A few of the worst culprits had their accounts banned after the Madrid game, and the same will happen today if necessary.

Please keep the discussion sensible and respectful. Thanks.

The match up in the middle of the park looks ominous for City. Everton have overloaded the middle of the park and City look a bit lightweight.

That City “midfield 4” (minus Rodri, the 5th) doesn’t have ANY steel or even much tracking back in it, while the Everton 5 includes a few rabbits to bolster DCL upfront.

Here’s hoping we can control the middle of the park with possession and getting the ball wide and in behind EARLY for Haaland. He stands a much better chance in behind than anything thrown up in the air, unless it’s for Alvarez to pick up a knockdown or rebound.

My biggest concern with this line up is that Mahrez and Foden play a backwards wall pass as much as they attack the full back, and Gundo & Alvarez are more second ball attackers than defenders in this set up.

Pep can say “PL PL PL” all he likes, but his team selections have literally said differently!

COME ON, CITY!!!
