That half was the Sterling we all know and loathe. Mangala was rubbish, only threatening player was Silva.

I'd hoick Sterling for Delph. They're turning and running in behind Toure and Fernandinho far too often here. Not got any kind of grip on the middle of midfield
Surely it's because they have worked on stopping Sterling & Kolarov ? If we take off Sterling they just do it to Navas & we have nowhere to go.

It has been a very good game of football albeit a few heart in mouth moments. Everton have played well but we have played better and have looked more threatening going forward but could not take the good chances and situations when they arrived. Defensively the team has looked very good and impermeable actually and that is partly due to our wide players pushing inwards and tracking back when Everton have the ball, the team has played well defensively.
Barkley has power and change of pace and Yaya in particular should make sure that he is not turned too easily and should play with more energy. Still confident because our defense have looked solid. Just need to make sure that we take our chances in the second half when the inevitably arrive and of course don't give them any free kicks in front of our box.

The reason Navas has so much space is because Everton are having to have a plan against Sterling. We must use this space better. Good first 30mins no need to panic. I would like the ref to get a grip on these sly challenges on Silva and Sergio.

Nobody will dare say it, but Mangala's stupidity has almost cost us twice; first with the needless tackle on Barkley, and chasing Lukaku to the half way line to inevitably be beaten in the air and then leaving a huge gap in behind him of Everton to drive into, forcing Fernandinho to take a yellow.
Sterling has been predictable, we should bring Delph into the middle, switch Silva left and push Yaya forward.
