See I don't even know the rules of football anymore, it's become a fucking jokeIt checks for handballs in the build up to goals. In the PL, that goal would have stood, but not in the CL.
Clear and obvious is to do with subjective foul decisions.
Yep. This is the explanation of the handball law given on the BBC’s website this morning when discussing some of this weekend’s decisions:I thought it had to be deliberate if it’s in the build up?
You can only disallow for any handball if it’s the person putting the ball in the net.
The rule is applied differently if you’re an attacker or a defender isnt itThe rule is different from the PL who amended it, can’t see how you can have different rules in association football
Or if the handball sets up a goal scoring action, which it didn’t. Ref got it wrong.I thiught it was only the guy who scores then it has to be ruled out?
So it’s not just us, the commentators have no clue of the rule either. They said it can’t be handballIn the PL, yes, not in the CL.
Is it different in EuropeYep. This is the explanation of the handball law given on the BBC’s website this morning when discussing some of this weekend’s decisions:
For accidental handball in the build-up to a goal:
- If one player accidentally handles the ball and a team-mate scores, the goal is given;
- However, if a player accidentally handles the ball themselves and goes on to score, the goal will not stand.
No, it isn’t. The rule says if a player intentionally handballs in the build up (which Mahrez didn’t) or if the scoring player handballs (intentional or not), which Rodri didn’t.
They are just making it up as they go now.
They wish ..Ederson "Manchester United goalkeeper"?
Quality commentating from BT Sport
It was the ref, not VAR.A ridiculous VAR decision.
Does that surprise you?So it’s not just us, the commentators have no clue of the rule either. They said it can’t be handball
Or is it just different when we score?Is it different in Europe
How can there be different rules? I thought it was all under UEFA/FIFA? Stupid.The handball rule should be universal for Europe and domestic leagues,not one rule there and one here and so on ..
