All the VAR calls were correct. You can moan about the rules if you want but there's no denying the refs applied the rules correctly and been consistent in doing so.

Gomez has so much work to do defensively.

Get Haaland on for Grealish go 4-3-2 and we can still win this well.

Biggest danger to us is ourselves with sloppy play, the sending off was from a poor decision from Rodri.
Still controlling the game but are showng nothing up front atm and it would help if we could take a set piece that beats the first man or not passed to the keeper

Don’t have any problems with the way the laws were applied, but that 45 mins sums up how ridiculous some of the laws are, which is compounded by var.

VAR is fine and we want it, it allows mistakes to be corrected and that's crucial. It's just when referees and VAR men are incompetent that problems start.
They obviously believed that Mahrez handled the ball deliberately which is utter nonsense. Because if they believed he did accidentally touch it then goal should stand as rule had changed form last year.

VAR gave them a 2nd chance to review it and they blew the 2nd chance also.

I thought VAR was for clear and obvious mistake re Rodri goal?

Anyways, pleased to see Pep isn't being fooled by Mahrez at present.

He isn't working hard enough to be one of the ten at any time.

Worried he has lost focus since the new deal and Pep suggesting he needs to lose body fat?

Might help if he’s on the pitch!
I mean in general. Mahrez, by the seems, is first choice. The Barcelona game (yes I know it was a charity game) was the only game where we've been given a pen with Haaland and Mahrez on the pitch and Mahrez took.

Handball doesn’t need to be intentional for it to be a foul.
