I’d argue Ake has been one of our best two defenders over the past couple of seasons.

I don’t think most folks would argue as he was the top ranked defender in the Etihad Player of thr Season last year.

I've said it before, but we've got a center-back, albeit a brilliant one in Stones, making runs like an attacking midfielder. It was a bright adjustment from Pep last season, but it has run its course IMO.
