Alvarez is going to be some player for us for yrs to come

We just need to do everything in our power to keep him over the next 2 years, as he’ll accept this role in his first season but probably not in year 2 or 3. But KDB still has a few years at the highest level. I think his new contract is part of that, to give him a higher salary so it’s harder for other teams to turn his head etc. But if he’s still happy in 2 years then he’ll be happy here forever I reckon, as that’s when it should really open up for him to be a key man.
