Liverpool well equipped to counter us, using the space behind the fullbacks on the counter, spacing their defenders and midfield out to make it hard for our tired players to press, and generally being pretty confident moving through our midfield. Too easy for them to exploit the weaknesses of Bravo, Angelino (and sadly) Walker.
KDB and Aguero not great. Disappointed by Gundogan, once again showing he's neither truly incisive in attacking situations or capable / committed off the ball... not a player particularly suited to the PL IMHO and just makes us look more and more like we need leadership in the centre, because people like Stones and Sterling are all capable of being a bit 'weak', slowing down mentally, looking a bit short of adrenaline and aggression.
Also, it's my opinion that we've played too long on autopilot in attack. The play in tight spaces can be breathtaking but too often players miss each other in more fluid situations completely missing with passes. I think it explains partly how wasteful we are. It often looks like everyone is just a bit unnatural. Today, there was too much emphasis on getting the cross in as the primary attack against a team like this.
Silly thing is, at the end of the season, we'll either say Pool have been riding their luck recently, or building an unbeatable habit of winning regardless. They probably look better against us than they are. City can still beat everyone else, week in, week out. Only needs a few goals not to go in for them, and we will still walk away with the league.
