I don’t think jack is productive on the left side . There’s no balance on the wings atm . Left side is the weakest link .

Liverpool look like a team who have had and extra weeks training and more warm up matches, for the first 20mins we looked like a team who played 2 matches. That said the way Sam Matterface is talking you'd think the dippers had been peppering our goal for 45mins.

We are clearly lacking match fitness with such a short pre season. Still had more and better chances than them too, even if we do look a bit unfit

Wright mentioned it but for the goal our lack of fitness showed being unable to do the shuttle runs to close down.

My only issue with this team is the balance, especially down the left, it’s too narrow.

I think some are being a tad over critical about individuals. We're growing into this game and I'm sure Pep's HT talk

I think Haaland has done fairly well, that miss aside. He is playing his role effectively, but he isn’t getting found, largely because Kev being off and our wingers being out of practice finding our striker early (a la Kun). Even his miss showed what he adds to our play—we can actually put in crosses in to the box from Kev and Bernardo and have a good chance of putting a shot on goal now.
