Genuine question on the red card. What happened to that double jeopardy rule they had?

If you don’t make a genuine attempt for the ball the double jeopardy is not in place

They did, it’s not a red if you go for the ball but a pull back or cynical challenge is red still

Oh my goodness! I can’t watch pens so go out of the room, wait for the roar from the crowd whichever way before I come back in......... and I’m standing there in the hallway waiting........and waiting........and then WHOOPS EB.......no crowd noise!!!! DUH....
