Since going 5 in midfield we have been far the better team. If Pellegrini starts that way in Rome I don't see any reason we can't win.

But it is shocking that he needs to get battered in first half against top teams in Europe time after time to realize we can't play with midfield of two.

I disagree. We look more compact and hold the ball more - but essentially do NOTHING with it...

With City 1-striker formation is perfect for draws or 1:0 wins (like back in Tevez time)...
