Wasn't having a pop sorry if it came across that way just trying to clarify. It would only be possible to advise the ref to look at the monitor if there was a subjective decision to be made regarding the penalty. The fact it was outside the box ends all var involvement.

Seems ridiculous though that they don’t give the free kick on the edge of the box. We have lost the advantage of that free kick which is a goal scoring ppportunity.
