Absolutely people talk about the most talented English players and they put names out like Foden and Bellingham which are fair shouts but you would have to put Stones in there in terms of overall quality. Obviously they are more attacking players, so they get more credit but John stones for me is comfortably in the top five most talented English footballers currently playing.

The issues Stones has are that he is often injured, which lowers his visibility. And he’s just now showing us his quality in the defensive midfield. If he was doing this four or five seasons ago, yeah. He would be on the lips of every pundit. And I agree. He’s one of the best.
