If Alvarez had taken the slight chance he had whilst the VAR check was ongoing, and scored, would we also have been given the penalty awarded after the check was complete?

As daft as it may sound i think the goal gets ruled out and come back for the penalty as its an earlier phase and had the penalty been given then the flow of the game would change, dont quote me on that though

To be fair, he's not the worst rival fan we've had on here. And if I was an Arsenal fan (God forbid), I'd probably be cocky at the moment.
