Akanji looked poor in his first start back from injury last week. I just don’t know why he started today. Get him back up to speed against Brentford

Feels like De Bruyne and Foden aren't getting on the ball enough to influence and control the game. They're so high up, need one more man in the middle for that to work - maybe bring Bernardo on in a deeper role for Alvarez.

Because Foden is stuck on the right again due to Alvarez being an undisputed starter for whatever reason.

Get Bernie on for Alverez. Put Phil back in the middle and Stones on for Akanji.

Exactly what I would do. Phil wasted on the right and out there to accommodate a player he's much better than.

The only alternative is Kovacic on for Alvarez so we can control the midfield better. I believe we have a 100% win record with Rodri and Kovacic starting.
