does anyone think Phillips should be picked tomorrow? I think it would be crazy to take a player who has barely played in a year especially when his job is to run around a lot

You realise he's had a shoulder injury? He's been doing non-contact training the whole time he's been out.

Also he played from March to September, he's not barely played in a year.

He's 100% going to Qatar, it's not even a question.

Never said any such thing. But goals can put a gloss on a less than perfect display. Would he be in my first choice XI if we were playing the CL final at the weekend? Certainly not. But I try to get behind our players when they're playing. Even when they don't make it easy to do so!
