Except those occasions when he is sloppy and missing in action particularly in big games. He is never going to be as good as Fernandinho was and that’s a problem.

personally think there’s only Fernandinho and Kante that are actually good enough to do that holding role on their own at present so have no idea who is out there who could be brought in

Kante isn't a holding midfielder and despite twitter saying otherwise he never was. The only manager ever playing him in a holding role was Lampard and he had his weakest 18 months of football under him
