It’s not gabbys fault that he is offside . He is leading the line very well . Mahrez and co need to release the ball first time . His runs behind the line is well timed but the rest is not on the same wave length . David or kdb would love see that kind of run from the striker .

Pretty much this. As other have stated Mahrez playing on a snail pace, slowing up the play. And than he pass the ball back to Walker.

Also anyone notice that Bernardo and Mahrez have like 0 chemistry. How many time are they in each others way. And no 1-2 or any linkup between them.

You mean except for that one two that led to the offside goal?

That last pass from Mahrez before half-time he put behind Bernardo who was offside, I was shouting for it to be played first time or earlier. Mahrez held onto the ball way too long.

Too slow for most o the half, playing like we're 3-0 with 15 minutes left. Mahrez having a particularly poor game, wasting most of our opportunities by not picking the pass quick enough, along with the poor miss. Sane looks the main threat, but we need tv stop putting in hopeful crosses and instead whip it along the ground, that's where our goals come from. Fern's passing has been uncharacteristically sloppy as well, needs to cut it out

Gabriel Jesus is playing very well....would love to see him get another goal.

There is link up play between them.

The issue comes when the ball arrives at Riyad’s feet in those link up sequences, as he has tendency, on the second “cycle”, to just pass it back to Walker, as you said.

When it is Bernardo-Sterling, you see the same first “cycle”, but the second is usually Raheem turning on the defender(s) and either dribbling by them, feigning (causing them to freeze) and passing it to an on-running Bernardo, or holding and finding a run through the middle from one of our midfielders. It is usually just much more effective link up.

FWIW, I think Riyad will eventually improve there as he gets more comfortable with our system and his role.
