When they pressed Lewis and akanji in our RB area there CM pressed too we got out of it leaving them 3 men short perfect to try and counter and we just passed it around the back and let them get the formation back… why can’t we hold our width and counter like we did back with sane and sterling 3 passes we were up the pitch 3 passes now we’re back at the goal keeper

At times we played faster which was the bright spot. I thought Phil was more like himself and Doku continues to improve marginally game by game. Still silly errors you wouldn't expect from elite players. There are only two things I don't like about Savinho: the way he plays and the way he acts. I wish Pep would go through the little bugger and tell him he is allowed to pass to players in a better position than him.
50/50 who wins this. We are the better team but it seems they only need to create a chance and its a goal.

Agree about Savinho.

Makes me tear out the little hair I still have. Passes when he should take someone on, runs with it when he should shoot, shoots when there's a better option. Shite decisions.

We’ve played much better than recently. I think Foden has had a decent game as well and he could have had 2/3 assists. We appear to be a bit more direct and willing to go longer with our play which is encouraging.

The Everton goal was preventable but extremely well taken.

Savinho needs to improve though. If he hadn’t have cost £30 off million and came through our academy instead, he wouldn’t be getting a sniff of first team action.

Or maybe he’s just not good enough? Even when we were winning and life was good, I have maintained I don’t see anything in him, and obviously this season has not changed my mind. I just don’t get why he’s amongst the first team squad. Just don’t get him and don’t think I ever will.

There is nothing wrong with this opinion as it’s not like he’s showed immense amount of potential.

Not enough, a good defensive midfielder and we walk some of the recent games.
