Feels like every time we start to look better, we concede a fucking stupid goal. It's a mentality issue from these players and I don't know what Pep can do about it.

No other top side gifts the opposition as many goals as we do. Teams don’t have to do anything special against us.

Their goal was the first touch they had in our box all half - in the 36th minute. We were easily the better team.

Any blame on Lewis should be directed towards Akanji on this occasion.

In many ways, a microcosm of our recent woes....decent start, get ins front, fail to capitalise and concede a goal that could have been avoided.
Savinho looks good but has zip all end product so far.
Akanji slashing at a ball he was never going to get - he has avoided much of the criticism during the bad run despite being at the centre if it plenty of times
Bernie should have taken that down and then finished

Our two wingers aren’t doing anywhere near enough, both offensively and defensively. Savio flatters to deceive so much - excellent control and some wonderful skills, but like Doku simply no end product.

At least we are trying to go more direct, been unlucky one or two haven’t come off

I like the ball over the top and Haaland playing further from goal to give him space to run into.

Even though we scored from a Doku run out wide I'd hope that we return to playing early balls down the center. (Almost Jack Charlton like). It'll create space out wide imo to have a secondary attack.

We need to do whatever tactic doesn't result with a wall of defenders and no space to attack into. We need to create space and go for it.

Agreed, but Pep should swap Doku and Savinho and let them put crosses in with their natural foot. It seems logical to me.

We need to tighten up at the back and need to mark, the lad who score their goal was wide open in the box, it happens every week!

There is np excuse for Silva not to score that 2nd and our defending for their goal was just the standard we are now at. 2 v 2 at the back post as the rest just ball watching whilst standing still to allow the Everton player all the time in the world to out his cross in.
Just have to accept this squad is top 8 material and over half the starters today are no longer the quality needed for a top side.
