I don't know the rule well enough to understand where that decision sits but surely Akanji has to make some kind of positive action towards the ball or to block the keeper to be impacting play? The keeper being distracted by him being there surely can't come into the decision, keepers can be distracted by all kinds of innocuous shit.

That was a really lacklustre half of football from us, just a bit off it all over the pitch.

Great to be in front considering, hopefully a clear the air chat at half time and come out switched on for the second half.

That is an obscenely bad half of refereeing from Olivar, not at all subtle. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen so many nothing challenges given against us and Fulham not being penalised for similar. He took the absolute piss on a couple of Rodri’s ‘fouls’

If we go 3-1 up watch the **** change tack and referee normally, only gets done whilst the game is in the balance.

There's no way Akanji being there didn't affect the keeper's decision making. He stuttered his dive because of him.

Still, I'll take it.

This is true, but I'd argue that him being there shouldn't have affected the keeper's dive, because he was about a mile offside. Okay, if he was slightly offside, you could argue that the keeper might expect a touch and was in no position to judge it. But if he's so far offside, that the keeper should be considering him a non-threat. Personally, I'd say that anyone in the 6 yard box should always be considered interfering, but with the rules as they stand, Akanji doesn't go for the ball, doesn't block the keeper's vision, and the fact that he's standing in an offside position, well that's part of a keeper's job to not allow that to affect him because he's effectively put himself out of the game.

Having said all that, if it's given against us, I'm furious.

Yes we need to go to the next gear and put 2 more goals. We have many things to sort out for the 2nd half.
I think Pep's absence is obvious by now, not only in the pitch but in practices etc.
