This is true, but I'd argue that him being there shouldn't have affected the keeper's dive, because he was about a mile offside. Okay, if he was slightly offside, you could argue that the keeper might expect a touch and was in no position to judge it. But if he's so far offside, that the keeper should be considering him a non-threat. Personally, I'd say that anyone in the 6 yard box should always be considered interfering, but with the rules as they stand, Akanji doesn't go for the ball, doesn't block the keeper's vision, and the fact that he's standing in an offside position, well that's part of a keeper's job to not allow that to affect him because he's effectively put himself out of the game.

Having said all that, if it's given against us, I'm furious.

The keeper cannot judge whether or not a player is offside in the moment & in a split second, nor can he take the risk. Asking way too much there IMO
