TBF they all got their contracts when their stock was running high. Easy to lol at them now. Sterling is asking for his money when his stock is as low as it’s been in years.

There is also the argument that you don’t sign a 4 year deal, which should be your most lucrative as it’s your “prime contract” based on form. When he’s back to contributing to 25+ goals next season he won’t be able to renegotiate.
