You can kinda see that phillips is overthinking it. His game/positioning is just a half second to slow at the moment. Pep calls that position in his teams the hardest to play, and requiring the most understanding of the game. I think given time phillips will be fine, it is just a matter of getting the time in and growing his understanding of the position and how Pep wants it played.
 
England isn't hiding in this game. It is a good job we don't have overly aggressive players.

I can't imagine being in a better spot than resting guys against Bayern in the CL. The crazy thing is that Alvarez is only slightly less likely to score and Haaland.
