I think people need to remember this is pretty much the team Leicester will be using next week while half our team aren't even back in training and we have two kids on the pitch.

I don't think Palmer has done badly at all, the lad is bound to be nervous. This is the biggest game of his life on national TV playing in an unusual position.

Taking him off is the worst thing Pep could do as it could really knock his confidence.

Not a bad first half. Endozie had some good spells. Mendy and Ake both looked good.

Mendy reverting to masquerading as a comedy defender again.
Midfield is non existent. Passing is shocking and movement off the ball poor.
At least it’s our reserves with a couple of the usual suspects.

Great save that from Steffen. Difficult 45 minutes overall though, we should bring Grealish and Bernardo on for Edozie and Palmer to get a bit more control.

Not sure I’d bother with Bernardo if he wants off tbh.

Edozie having a mare and Mendy is absolutely pitiful. He looks a stone overweight. I’m sure the occasion has just got to Edozie rather than anything else.

Palmer has been ok but Edozie looks way out of his depth, which isn’t really surprising based on his EDS performances last season.

• Considering the teams both sides have, we've done ok.
• Steffen, Ake, Dias have all done very well in defence, for the most part
• Mendy looks very good in possession. Looks like he's playing the Zinchenko role too
• Palmer and Edozie have been a bit fazed, but have both had a couple good moments
• Torres struggling to get involved
• Fernandinho hasn't been at his best with the ball. Still good without it though.
