I’d bring on Nunes and scrap that possession football. He’s better than all of our midfielders. So why are we still sticking with the old system if the players that are good in it aren’t good anymore? May as well change it to fit in a player who’s got pace and energy.

Gvardiol’s defensive shortcomings get overlooked a lot on here. If he’s our future CB, we’re in a lot of trouble.
That goal wasn't evidence of that though. It eas an awkward bounce and Salah leaned into him hard to create space.

I think he is decent defensively. He is no Trent

In this system he has to spend his time running backwards after a long ball over his head in a 3 on 3 or 4 on 4. Not easy. We could make life a lot easier on ourselves by playing deeper and stretching the pitch with the 2 wingers. But we won’t and don’t.

Apart from our offside goal we have created fuck all. The dippers are letting us have the ball and just defending in numbers ready to hit us on the break.

Stranger things have happened but I can’t see us getting anything out of this game.

How bad are some of our corners too?
Their defenders have got the cigars out and slippers on.

Far too easy.

now we need to hope Arsenal beats Forest and Liverpool the Barcodes sin 3 days time. we cannot fucking mess up CL qualification. I dont expect more than a point vs Spurs. probably a loss if we play like this.
Expect the worst. This current group of players are awful.

Hit and hope football.

Huge reset needed

We’ve played with a tempo much better than recent months. Doku has had Alexander-Arnold on toast and Savinho has been bright.

For all of Liverpool’s dominance in the PL and Europe so far this season, they’ve looked extremely ordinary and we deserve some credit for that.

Ordinary and are 2-0 up. That sums us up atm. Liverpool haven't looked great all season but they are clinical upfront and have a strong central defence and energetic midfield.

Exactly my point. He’s not a ball to feet player. We need to feed him yet we are using him in the pockets and you can tell he isn’t a ball to feet player because his first touch isn’t great.
Think he’s been bought to play WITH Haaland not instead. They were brilliant v Newcastle as a pair, but the injury curse struck again

I watch the game. It's an opinion.

Maybe you should try watching the game a bit more objectively sometimes.

100% entitled to writing an opinion. This is the result of a complete lack of planning by the club. No wonder Txiki has left, its clear the someone is interfering in our transfer business who has no right to.
I hope that's the case. The alternative is Pep has let it get this far by mutual consent.

Being brutally honest, we get our shit together in the summer window and this dipper team wont retain the title

They aint nothing special. There best chance is us having an off season - nothing more

And no one else being bloody good enough

Not really… as a lb wingers are running at him. Which exposes him a lot.. as a cb he won’t have the same pressure bc how many teams attack right down the middle? He will still get exposed but no where near as much as a lb which he really it not

No it's not. He's anonymous for 90% of games. Vastly overrated by overbiased fans.

Too comfortable at City, he needs a new challenge under another coach. Just like Rashford.

Hes just come off a season where he was one of the best players in the team. Plenty of players have played under the same manager for big parts of their career and succeeded.

Hes highlighted on the scouting report in a way he never was. He needs to develop his game.

Hes been mediocre this year, but the entire team has so it's not like he stands out.

And annoyingly MCAllister was available 2 years ago. He would have settled well with his world Cup winning mate Joolian.

Honestly the recruitment has been dross. I like Omar and Khusanov has potential. Where the hell are we going to find the next Kyle, Kevin, Merlin, Vinny, Kun, Dinho??? I am seriously worried for the future of the team.
Our era as been and gone and it’s not a easy task doing a rebuild to the scale of what we need, clubs will also know we are desperate so will put a premium on players
