That was a bit gash. No idea what we're playing at really. No structure to our play and I'm struggling to work out what our strategy/formation even was. Couple that with poor passing, control and decision making and you have the mess that that half was. Just never got going at all and it's difficult to see any way back for us.

Don't know where we go from here. Maybe Rodri on for Fernandinho and Gundogan or KDB for Foden. Push Grealish out wide left, Sterling right and Jesus through the middle.

An early goal and we could get some momentum into our game but it will have to be a damn sight better than what we have seen so far.

He has played one top game this season, the rest utterly underwhelming, although no surprise from me, he was so hyped up by the media at Villa.

In all fairness I feel like he has been the only one to turn up. I get resting players, but that lineup is pathetic. Fernandinho looks eveybit his age.

Time we got a new number 2. You can’t be soft at this level and pep has let his emotions pick the team. The only good thing to come from this is that we can now see who has either lost the fight or is not good enough moving forward.

Sterling Jesus definitely not good enough . Steffen will done after this one . Grealish needs a massive second season but atm what a waste of money .

Just logging in to say this and then I'm out. I'm not here to slag off this player or that player, or the coach and his selection.
But just look at the stats, for God's sake! They are absolutely damning. The dippers have had no shots off target, and three on. They are 3-0 up. We dominated large parts of the first league match against them, and most of the second. Result: draws in both cases. We needs lots and lots of chances to put some in. Liverpool do not.
I still think we're a better side than them, but we most certainly don't have that clinical side to us that they have.
This match is over. I'll eat my hat if we come back from here.
The league goes on. So does the CL. We pick ourselves up from this dusting. But it's been very, very poor.
