Only 1-0 down after a very disjointed half, and we looked more like scoring than they did in general. A few fairly obvious changes and a bit of motivation and this is still ours for the taking

Playing this 5 at the back shit and being exposed in midfield with the two slow coaches of Gundogen and Rodri, is a major reason we have been so poor. fernahinho off mahrez /foden on and get KDB in the middle as an attacking midfielder and not stuck out on the wing.

Lyon were better over the 45 minutes. We started to improve slightly towards the end, but we look poor all over the pitch. We're losing the midfield battle and Fernandinho on a yellow is a major worry. One wrong move from him and we're out. We've created very few chances. Certainly not enough chances to give ourselves the chance to be ahead in the game. We're playing 5 at the back. The wing-backs are not pushing forward, probably due to fear of how the 3 centre-backs can handle the counterattack.

I'll never understand why Gundogan is starting games like this.

Gundo and Rodri off, Dinho moves up and Silva and Mahrez on. Mahrez scores at least twice in that first half if he's on BTW.

Hard to believe anyone watched that first half and thought we need Fernandinho involved in the game more.
