Mixed bag. Played some good football early on. Bobb was excellent first half (and for the goal). Lewis did well. Savinho showed enough to suggest he’ll be a real asset. Lovely cameo by Bernardo (goal plus that foul).
Thought Haaland was disappointing. Defence not great. And still obviously no-one who can fill in for Rodri …

Pretty sure Pep will be trying to set them up to lose the shootout.

I reckon Pep loves losing the Community Shield, as it helps renew the hunger in the team, who generally hate losing (but don’t do it that often), and gives him something to bollock them about before the start of the season. ;-)

Fuck pens. Ah well, we never do well in these games but that second half was a bit dire. Midfield was poor and we were repeatedly caught out by lofted through balls. We had too many people on the pitch who are carriers of the ball and don't keep it secure enough

Bobb really is a starter. I think Bernie can play behind Haaland or next to Kova. Nunes skillset looks more suited to being on the wings. Lost the ball in dangerous positions. Needs to keep it simple. He did some good stuff but a long way to be trusted it seems but this ball depends on how he wants to set up with Kova, who I believe was good today.
