Unfortunately, you can’t really have consistent incision from a player without risk of losing the ball. And you can’t really have consistent control of the ball from a player without a lack of incision.

He can get better at balancing it, but he’ll never be able to eliminate the risk of losing the ball if we want him to take on players on the edge of their box.
That’s the risk/reward element with him. He probably offers more than Jack in attack but less in defence. You pay your money you make your choice. Personally, I like Doku as I love to watch real wingers.

I'm not saying this game doesn't matter, but he's got a long season ahead of him. As a big lad he gets a fair bit of 'treatment' from defenders most games, for which he doesn't get much change out of the referee. Would you rather he went balls out in a charity game and ended up on the treatment table for most of the season?

I don’t think it’s as black and white as that. If he works a bit harder here, it’s not a guarantee that he’ll get injured.

Working hard up top as the first line of defence is natural under Pep. Unless it isn’t and he’s told not to do anything too strenuous which is a strong possibility because I don’t think he’s ‘lazy’ per se…
