Their keeper made some good saves and Boyota should have done better.

We do look sloppy at the back though. Kompany is ropey as fuck.

I hope we bring on Mangala for the last few min. If we're thinking about playing him and Kompany in the back against chelshite, they can use this important time.
That would be some party trick

I am worried about Vincent--he has repeatedly made very questionable decisions since coming back from injury.

I am hoping it is just rust.

It has not been an impressive first half in terms of goals and clear cut chances so I can understand why many will be bored enough to pick on a player. So let me follow suit and pick on Boyata as well.

Pellegrini had the Sunderland game in mind and also after the game on Wednesday and I am sure some impressive displays in training and the show of attitude and approach of Boyata, he decided -''well why not give him a go today as well, as Demechelis and Mangala have some glaring faults so to speak and they are can rest as a benefit in light of the game next weekend''.. And I for one think he has been very good and has not looked out of place. As a matter of fact, I honestly cannot recall any game that Boyata has really looked out of place but people seem to equate paucity of opportunity to bad performances and inference on the quality of the player but the bottom line is that the guy has not been given enough opportunities for us to give a final verdict on him.

I think he is underrated.

Hopefully he will get more opportunities in the future. He reads the game well, composed on the ball, good attitude about him and puts his head down and works with no complaint or complex.

In this game we have not had enough creativity but hopefully it wont matter. The team is strong enough and have been dominant enough to not be too worried.

More of the same in the second half and I am sure we will get the win.

There are a few of Jovetic love children on here today. How many of you are actually at the game or are you only seeing it through the television lens.I know what I have seen on the pitch and he has been poor.

As long as Boro don't get a shot on target, we will be ok.

I remember a while back they didn't have a shot per say and they still won.

We should be winning this game comfortably but we lack potency and an inability to create the space to open them up.

Agree on Boyata. Been our best defender today, and not looked anything other than solid on all of his appearances this season.

Why bother
He's dedicated. I'll give him that. Match day thread after match day thread, he bangs his one-note drum constantly although he does switch it up to act offended when called on it for variety.
